WHO IS SALSA DX FOR?
Everyone..! At Salsa DX we believe exercise should be enjoyable, not a chore! And if you’re having fun it’s much easier to stay motivated. A sociable atmosphere, enthusiastic & experienced teachers and exciting dance moves are guaranteed to make you feel good. It’s easy to forget you’re working out!
I’VE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE – HOW EASY IS SALSA DX?
It’s easy to get started with our experienced teachers guiding you through a simple warm up to raise the heart rate, then building step by step into the main cardio workout that will recharge and tone your body before the final cool down.
CAN I COME ALONE?
Yes. Come alone or bring your friends – all are welcome!
DO I NEED TO BE FIT TO JOIN IN?
Salsa DX classes are suited to anyone with a basic level of fitness* and let you push yourself further to work harder as you get fitter. There’s no danger of getting bored either, with innovative new choreography each week that gives your mind a work out as well as your body!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear your usual work out kit with layers to take off as you warm up. Smooth soled flat shoes (e.g. Jazz shoes) are best, trainers or pumps are fine to start but can be too ‘sticky’ for some moves that involve twisting & turning (flip flops or bare feet are a definite NO NO!) Please also bring water & a small towel – you will get hot!
WHAT BENEFITS WILL I SEE?
You’ll be surprised that something so fun can be so effective – you can burn up to 600 calories per hour! As well as a cardiovascular workout, Salsa DX incorporates interval training, which is now considered to me the most effective way to zap that fat! As well as this you will leave class with a big grin on your face..!
Hot Salsa body moves target those problem areas – abs, bums, legs and tums. As your confidence grows, you can add in upper body moves for a total body workout. Salsa DX will also improve your balance, posture, agility and confidence!
I ALREADY DANCE SALSA – CAN I JOIN IN?
Yes – our routines will give you lots of new ‘shines’ to use in partnerwork & let you experiment with body movements & styling to enhance your dancing!
